Philosophy of Action

The course offers an in-depth introduction to contemporary philosophy of action. In eight two-hour sessions, we will read and discuss eight core topics of philosophy of action. Each session will consist of an introduction of the topic and key arguments by the instructor, a presentation by a PhD student, and discussion. The required readings for each session will be a chapter of Sarah Paul’s new introduction to philosophy of action and a core text. A PhD student will be assigned to each of the eight sessions. The task of the PhD student is to introduce the core text, present its main argument, and raise and discuss possible objections.

Dates and time: the eight sessions will be conducted online via Zoom from 14.30 to 16.30 the following dates:
