ISE PhD Course: Qualitative Research Interviews
Doctoral School of Social Sciences and Business at Roskilde University
Qualitative Research Interviews are a key research method for many PhD researchers in the Social Sciences. Their analysis and conclusions depend for a large part on the information acquired through interviews. The importance of knowing how to conduct an interview well can therefore not be underestimated. To be well prepared and carry out such interviews in a consistent manner resulting in useful and reliable data for research requires both theoretical and practical training. This workshop is a combination of discussion of the methodologies and methods of interviewing, and hands-on interview training, applied to the course participants research projects as much as possible. Research ethics is a central part in these discussions.
The course is aimed at PhD researchers who are looking for introductory to intermediate level training on qualitative research interviews. We will cover a range of interview methods.
