Biostatistics II (2026)
Doctoral School of Engineering and Science at Aalborg University
This course on biostatistics focused on the complexity of data collected in biomedical research. Therefore, the course focused on topics like sample size estimation, meta-analysis and multi-factorial methods.
Prerequisites: BIOSTATISTICS I or equivalent
Learning objectives:
- The ability to understand the assumptions and perform the following statistical tests: Multifactorial ANOVA, Repeated measures ANOVA, Multiple and non-linear regression, Survival Analysis
- Understand power and sample-size calculation (sample-size considerations), and perform then in the context of your own studies
- Understand and perform meta-analyses in systematic reviews.
- Write and a statistical analysis plan preferably based your data
