Translational neurobiology of the pain system xxxi: mechanisms and biomarkers of neuro-adaptations to pain
Doctoral School in Medicine, Biomedical Science and Technology at Aalborg University
Welcome to Translational neurobiology of the pain system xxxi: mechanisms and biomarkers of neuro-adaptations to pain
Program: BEN (also relevant for CPM, CSLTM)
Description:
The thirty-first annual edition of this international Ph.D. course focuses on advances in the translational neurobiology of the pain system. The purpose of the course is to introduce different aspects of the neurobiology of the pain system and to initiate new co-operation in interdisciplinary pain research. This year the course will focus on translational aspects of different mechanisms in neuro-adaptations to pain (NAP) both in acute and chronic pain conditions. In particular, novel measures of NAPs will be discussed (e.g. neurophysiological, psychophysical, or psychological) as well as potential associations between NAPs across different domains. The lectures will be given by staff from Center for Neuroplasticity and Pain (CNAP, Aalborg University), and by invited international key scientists within the area. The participants will have a chance to present posters relevant to the theme.
