ONLINE & IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE

Description:

This PhD course takes its asset to one of the main societal challenges western countries are facing: The ageing of the society – 2.9% increase in the share of European population aged >65+ years between 2014 and 2024. The focus of the course will be on the digital technologies applied in laboratory- and home-based approaches that can be used to maintain or improve the level of activity of older adults.

Internationally recognized speakers as well as speakers from Aalborg University Hospital and Aalborg University will be invited. The addressed topics will include for example: biomechanics, co-morbidities, interventions, motor coordination, digital technologies ranging from sensor to AI contributing to promote physical activity.

Students will be asked to design a study targeting older adults and deploying digital approaches.
