General course objectives:

This course is designed to support PhD students in Wind & Energy Systems in developing essential professional and academic skills for a successful research career. Through interactive workshops, peer learning, and networking activities, students will strengthen their abilities in research communication, innovation, career planning, and effective collaboration. The course combines practical sessions on: using AI in research, scientific communication, conference participation, and innovation, with opportunities for reflection and feedback through poster presentations and group discussions.

Workshop: Time management Work smart rather than just hard. Strategies for maintaining a healthy work-life balance and managing research tasks efficiently. Workshop: Navigating Scientific Conferences Planning, goal-setting, and energy management for productive conference participation. Workshop: Startup – Get Started From science to business: innovation processes, intellectual property, and DTU support for early-stage ideas. Poster Sessions Peer-to-peer feedback and open poster sessions to practice scientific communication. Career Q&A Insights from former PhD students on career development and transferable skills.
