Introduction to Bayesian Statistics in Health Research ( 4/2, 18/2, 25/2, 4/3 og 18/3 2025)
Graduate School of Health Sciences at University of Southern Denmark
Bayesian statistics is a framework for statistical analysis differing from the more common frequentists statistics mostly used in quantitative health research. During the last years, improvements in statistical software have made Bayesian analyses more feasible for health researchers, resulting in an increasing number of publications reporting results obtained by Bayesian statistics. These methods can be usefull especially in situations with small sampel sizes combined with strong preexisting knowledge about the associations of interest.
