General course objectives:

The course aims to improve participants’ writing processes by training meta-reflection on the participants own writing process. This is done both theoretically by the introduction of research based mental models and by practice of several different tools while participants write on their own texts. The course is aimed at thesis writing.



Learning objectives:

A student who has met the objectives of the course will be able to:

  • Structure their writing and define clear writing goals
  • Use speedwriting to get started and to prompt new ideas and reflections
  • Utilise smaller spans of time for writing and thereby keep the writing process going
  • Distinguish between different phases in the writing process
  • Create a storyline in their text
  • Reflect on their challenges in writing and create conditions for efficient writing
  • Make a realistic writing plan
  • Get (back) their passion for writing
